Butter London no. 1

This Christmas I received one of the most amazing presents ever. My boyfriend Duc gave me 10 Butter London nail polishes + a top coat. One of the things that I love most about Butter London is its outstanding quality. I've never have given myself a "manicure" and have it NOT chip until now. I'll be premiering the other 9 colors through time but today I'm starting with the most basic color, black.

Left to Right -
Union Jack Black, Dust, Hardwear Top Coat

Butter London provides the most opaque coverage and it only takes TWO coats for it to get rid of any streaking. Though it is roughly 14$/bottle, it's totally worth it if you're a new/old nail junkie like myself. Of all the nail polishes I've tried, Butter London definitely beats China Glaze and OPI without a doubt. With what I've observed, Butter London and Essie have similar consistencies which would provide me with the inference as to why both polishes are so good! However, the main thing that Butter London holds over Essie is that Butter London is formulated WITHOUT Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP or Parabens. This definitely accounts for the 6-7$ price difference.

Please don't mind how I paint my nails. Lol I try.

The glitter polish pictured above is "Dust" by Urban Outfitters. Urban Outfitters was having a 2/7$ sale and my sister and I got the same polish so we could get the deal. As expected, UO's nail polish lacks the quality of Butter London nail polish but is good for what it is. Because I am a nail polish snob I'd probably only purchase top coats from UO just so the average quality wouldn't be as apparent. This was my first glitter nail polish and I was neither disappointed or overly impressed with the quality. Just meh?

Overall, I LOVE Butter London nail polish and top coat. The quality is amazing and worth the 14$ if you're collecting like myself. Don't be fooled by UO's sales because you do get what you pay for.
